EMILY HILL, LMSW

I’m Emily (she/they). I believe that people are always doing the best they can, given the resources they currently have. I am persistently and radically hopeful for a better world for all of us. I feel it is important to not only encourage and support growth and change in others, but also to compassionately be part of that change that I want to see. I believe that healing is imperative for us all, and I am continually privileged to be able to play a role in the healing of many individuals.

I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, public health research, medical social work, sexual health education, and private mental health practice, all of which have helped me tremendously in becoming familiar and competent with a variety of concerns and experiences. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan, and I hold a post-graduate certificate in Sex Therapy and Sexuality Education from the Sexual Health Certificate Program at the University of Michigan. I am also an experienced Clinical Supervisor who has supported many early-career clinicians and interns. I also serve as the Director of Education and Training for a group practice in Ann Arbor, MI.

Outside of my mental health professional roles, I am a devoted pet parent, a somewhat reluctant hiker, and an ambitious home baker.
